BLUE BIN — Recycling • Clean paper and cardboard (newspapers, flyers, boxes) • Glass bottles and jars (rinsed) • Plastic containers labelled #1, #2, or #5 (rinsed) • Metal cans (rinsed) Note: Do NOT place plastic bags, Styrofoam, or broken glass in the blue bin. GREEN BIN — Organics • Food scraps (fruit peels, vegetable trimmings, meat, fish, dairy) • Coffee grounds and paper filters • Paper napkins and tissues • Certified compostable bags Note: Do NOT place cooking oil, large animal bones, or non-compostable plastics. GREY BIN — Garbage (Landfill) • Items not accepted in other bins • Plastic bags and wrap, Styrofoam • Disposable diapers SPECIAL DISPOSAL Batteries, electronics, paint, and medications — take to the Community Hazardous Waste Drop-Off at 55 Industrial Avenue, open Saturdays 9 AM to 3 PM. Incorrect sorting may result in your bins not being collected.
